Spaulding Health News...
Vision and hearing screenings will be conducted annually in the fall or spring.
"Vision screening is not a substitute for a complete eye and vision examination by an eye doctor. Your child is not required to undergo this vision screening if an optometrist or ophthalmologist has completed and signed a report indicating that an examination has been administered within the previous 12 months."
NOTE: This is NOT a request for permission to screen. Permission to screen is not required as vision screening is a state mandate.

If your student will be taking medication at school; inhaler, epi pen, over the counter and or prescription medications you and your physician will need to complete this form (please note their are two forms)

Sick Day Guidelines

Head Lice Lessons
Spaulding Elementary has a no nit policy, meaning that any student found with nits (or lice eggs) in their hair will be sent home, and will not be allowed back into school until nit free.

Snow Days
Spaulding has implemented E-learning days in place of normal snow days. For an E-learning day, students do school work at home on their iPads, in the process getting credit for a full day of school. To get some learning credit for on an E-learnign day, students can click on the picture link below, and turn the work in to the school nurse.
